Thailand Bucket List!

Whilst I’m hopefully going to be in Thailand for a while I’ve compiled a bucket list of all the things I want to do and places I want to see whilst I’m here!

None of these are in any particular order and I’ve grabbed the beautiful pictures mostly from Instagram, all credit will be given, follow them all!

Phi Phi Islands

One of the most exciting for me is going to be Phi Phi Islands. They’re made up of about 6 islands and the biggest two Phi Phi Don (inhabited) and Phi Phi Leh (uninhabited) are the most popular. Phi Phi Leh is where they filmed the Leonardo DiCaprio film The Beach.

Phi Phi Islands are perfect for exploring with beautiful mainland or for relaxing on their breathtaking beaches!

Krabi

Krabi contains over 150 islands altogether. You can do everything within these islands, full of adventure and activities to get your blood pumping but also secluded and relaxing beaches to chill on.

One place in particular I want to visit in Krabi is Sa Morakot which means Emerald Pool, located in Khao Pra-Bang Kram Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s a hot spring originated from a warm stream in the lowland forest of Khao Nor Chuchi. The colour of the water changes according to light and time of day but it’s sometimes a beautiful emerald colour, hence the name!

Railay

This peninsula is only accessible by boat and is perfect for rock climbers because of the tall limestone cliffs. Apparently there are no roads and there are caves, lagoons, viewpoints and beautiful beaches all in walking distance! How exciting!

Koh Nangyuan

This beautiful place is about 10-15 minutes from the west-side of Koh Tao with the incredible three islands viewpoint that is all over Instagram! It’s the only place to have three islands connected by a small strip of beach. Apparently it’s very good for snorkelling and with views like that, how can you not want to go?!

Elephant Nature Park

Located in Chiang Mai are a few different elephant parks. The reason I want to visit this one so much is that it’s an elephant sanctuary where they rescue elephants from abuse and let them live out their lives here. They don’t let people ride them, which damages the elephant, but you can trek with them, bathe and feed them. I think it looks like such an amazing place and I can’t wait to go!

Phuket

Phuket is the biggest island in Thailand, and here you can find pretty much everything! There are some amazing beaches to relax on, plenty of adventures and tours to go on and also a great night life. Patong Beach is the hub for tourism, with lot’s of shopping and nightlife! I can’t wait to live it up in Phuket!

Khao Sok National Park

It is situated on the mainland between Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lok and Koh Samui. It contains thick forests, waterfalls and lots of secrets! It looks amazing to explore! It’s also home to some incredible creatures including Clouded Leopards and Binturong which are my favourite!

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep

This a beautiful temple situated on Doi Suthep, a mountain overlooking Chiang Mai. If you climb the 309 steps to the top you get the most beautiful views over Chiang Mai and the temple itself is stunning!

Koh Samui

Koh Samui is another all round island, full of activities for the adventurous folk but has amazing beaches and waterfalls for people who want a relaxing holiday. It also has the Big Buddha Temple which I really want to see!

So there are a few places I want to visit and things I want to see whilst I’m here in Thailand.

If anyone has any other special places you think is worth adding to my bucket list comment and I’ll add them!

Thank you for reading!

Stay Happy!

    1. I didn’t spend much time in Chiang Mai so didn’t do much exploring but I’ve explored a bit in Hua Hin! I’ve been to Lub Lae Caves which is great and Pa La U Waterfalls which has been my favourite so far!
