Coachella Festival Look

So with festival season finally starting with Coachella I thought I would do a festival inspired look. I’ve never done a spotlight look like this before, as I have quite hooded lids so I didn’t think it would look as good on me. But I’m quite proud with how it turned out! So I’ll explain how I did it and what products I used!

Firstly I primed my face with the L’oreal Infallible Pore Refining Primer to hide my pores and help keep my makeup on for longer in this weather. Then I covered my blemishes with the Maybelline Fit Me concealer and used the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation all over my face. To highlight my chin, nose and forehead, and conceal under my eyes I used the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. Finally I used the Rimmel London translucent powder to set my foundation.

For my brows I used the NYX Tame & Frame brow pomade and carved it out with the IMG_4871editCollection concealer. I started my eyes with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette and used Tempura all over my eyes. I then used Red Ochre and blended it directly into my crease and just above it. I then blended that out with a little bit of Burnt Orange. To deepen the crease I used the deepest red shade in the Morphe 35n palette, right at the bottom. Then I used concealer to draw where I wanted the spotlight to be, taking it a little higher than my crease because I have hooded eyes. I then blended the dark red again on either side of the spotlight to blend out the edges of the concealer. And then for the spotlight I used Primavera from Modern Renaissance on either side of the middle. Then on the middle I used the Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights. I used the same colours underneath my eye too and blended them all out. I then applied a pair of Red Cherry lashes that I forgot the name of!

For my face I used the Makeup Revolution Baked Bronzer in Ready to Go and Highlighter in Golden Lights. I also applied the highlighter to the inner corner of my eye, brow bone, nose and cupids bow.

For my lips I used the NYX Liquid Suede in Club Hopper on the outer corners of my lips and then used NYX Lingerie in Bedtime Flirt in the middle to create an ombre effect.

You could leave the look like this to be a bit more subtle but I decided to use some glitter! I’m so sad I didn’t bring any of my glitter with me, the only thing I brought was a Collection gold gel liner, so I used that instead!

I put some of the liner over the spotlight on my eye, making the gold pop even more. I also used it over my eyebrow to create little dots and then went over that with the NYX Liquid Suede in Cherry Skies. I used both of these to draw little lines over the bridge of my nose too.

I used the glitter gel liner to draw a little line over my bottom lip too, to create a ‘warrior’ kind of look. I also used a tiny bit over my highlighter on my cheek bones to add that extra glitter.

And that’s my first festival look finished! I wish I could go all out but I just haven’t got the products with me at the minute! So for me this is quite a subtle look but I think it’s nice if you don’t want to go all out for a festival, this might be more in your comfort zone.

Let me know what you think in the comments below and what other looks you want to see me do!

Stay Happy!
