31 Days of Halloween 2018, Make-up

Mystique (8/31)

Today I thought I would attempt a Mystique look! I’ve seen this going around Instagram so thought I would give it a try of my own! Let’s get started!

(Disclaimer- eye, hair and lighting in edited but the makeup hasn’t been changed)

To start with I used the NYX white eyeliner to draw a line roughly where I wanted to the split to be. For the normal side of my face I used the Maybelline concealer to hide my blemishes and then the Estee Lauder foundation over that half of my face. I then used the Collection concealer to cover the bags under my eyes. For my one brow I used the NYX Tame & Fame brow pomade. I then carved the brow with the P.Louise Base.

For the simple eyeshadow I used a brown shade from the Morphe 35n palette and on my lid I used a black eyeshadow all over and blended it out. I then used the black shade under my eye too.

So on the Mystique side of the face I covered it all in Fas blue face paint, which is the weirdest stuff. It’s quite thick and dried like a peel off face mask so you can’t really move your face much! I then used the dark blue shade from the Juvias Place The Magic palette on either side of my nose and up towards my brows. I then used the darkest blue shade from the Morphe 35c palette over my lid and under my eye because I didn’t use the paint on my lid. I then used a big brush and the blue eyeshadow and used it to set the face paint a little bit.

For the black parts of the face I moulded them first out of foam and waited for them to dry. I then actually coloured them in with a black sharpie. I then used liquid latex to stick them in the right pattern. For the tiny black dots I just drew them on with a sharpie. I then applied the YIWU lashes on both of my eyes.

And that’s the look finished! I’ve obviously edited the red hair and the yellow eyes too (ya girl can’t afford contacts or wigs!) but I like how the look has turned out!

If you haven’t seen yesterdays look, check it out! Dead Men Tell No Tales (7/31)

Stay Spooky!
