It’s finally the last day of 31 Days of Halloween! I can’t believe it’s over! I saved my favourite look until last for sure! This is inspired by my Queen Keilidh MUA. She did this look last year but I thought I’d put a spin on it and do the ice dragon! This took me about 5 hours, so lets get started!!
To make the little scales for the dragon I used the same foam clay I’ve been using the whole of this month. Skye and I spent a stressful night getting these perfect and I’m so happy with how they turned out! Props to Skye because he did most of it! I then let them dry overnight.
The next morning I started on the normal part of my face. I used the L’Oreal Infallible primer all over and then applied the Fenty Beauty foundation. I didn’t apply it to the dragon part though. I then used the Collection concealer under my one eye and set all of that with NYX Finishing Powder. For my brow I used the NYX Tame & Fame brow pomade and carved it out with the P.Louise base.
For my eyes I only used two eyeshadows. I used the deep brown shade from the Morphe 35n palette and blended it out using the light orange shade from the Modern Renaissance palette. I applied some black pencil eyeliner to my top lash line and blended it out too. I also used the deep brown shade under my eyes. I then applied the Red Cherry lashes in Darla and some mascara.
For my face I used the Makeup Revolution bronzer and highlighters. And for my lips I used the NYX Lip Lingerie in Bedtime Flirt.
For my dragon part I used some liquid latex to apply each of the scales to my face. This probably took the longest to do! I then mixed some white and black face paint to create a dark grey shade and covered the whole part of my face and the horns. I used a thinner brush for the edges to look like it’s spreading. For the eye, I used some black face paint and eye shadow to create the little cat eye bit and filled it in. I then used a really thin brush to paint the little scales in the middle. I then used a bit of black eyeshadow and added detailing all around the bottoms of the scales where they meet my face. I also used it to create a little bit of texture on the scales themselves.
When I’d shaded them how I wanted I used a little bit of white face paint to highlight the ends of the scales and used it in the middles of the scales near my eyes too. I kept going in with more white and black paint until they looked how I wanted. I then applied DUO eyelash glue to the scales so that when it dried they would look shiny. Once they were dry I used the light blue shimmer shade from the Juvias Place Magic palette to highlight them further. I think this is what gives them the icy look. It took me a long time to get them how I wanted but I’m happy with how it turned out!
And that’s the look finished! The last look in my 31 Days of Halloween, I can’t believe it! If you haven’t already, check out yesterdays look! We Are Venom (30/31)
I think I’ll be having a few days off now to recover but I’ll be back soon with more makeup and travel posts!
